Pidford Manor is located in an accessible, rural location approximately 3 miles South of Newport, the Island’s principal town with a good range of shops including Marks & Spencer. The Isle of Wight is famous for its sailing and watersports in the renowned waters of The Solent. In addition there are a wide range of sporting activities available including numerous golf courses, excellent walking and riding across extensive unspoilt countryside, much of which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are numerous car and passenger ferry services to and from the Isle of Wight providing flexible and frequent access.

It is believed that there has been as house on the present site of Pidford Manor since 1301 and that the front part of the house was built in 1793. The Worsley family are understood to have owned the house from 1538 until 1825 and it is believed that in 1840 the house was owned by the Sewell family. Elizabeth Sewell was a famous authoress and Henry Sewell became the first Prime Minister of New Zealand in 1856.

Pidford Manor is Listed, Grade II. The earliest part of the house was originally built in stone and the striking Georgian addition to the front now forms the principal accommodation. This portion of the house retains a wide range of features of the period, such as sash windows with working shutters, generous ceiling heights and decorative coving to the principal rooms. The property has undergone extensive refurbishment during 2009 to a high specification. Works have included upgrading of electrical, plumbing and heating systems and installation of bathrooms. A Chalon kitchen has been fitted with Teak worksurfaces including features such as twin washing machines. Improvements to the integral layout to the house have also created a superb principal bedroom suite incorporating a dressing room and luxurious bathroom. The works have been carried out to a high standard and retained period features. The accommodation is on 3 floors, with extensive and useable dry cellarage below, as shown on the floor plans. The property is set in mature grounds of approximately 11.32 acres (4.58ha) which with extensive tree planting provides an attractive, parkland like setting for the property.
